My wife has three years multiple entrance visa which will expire in 2014 and she is currently in canada with me. I got two questions

1 - the stamp on her passport is saying that she has to leave the country June 18,2013(6 mounths period). eventho she has three years multiple entrance visa. can i extend her stay in canada? what forms do i need to fill up?

2 - do i need to sent her passport with the application package?

1. Yes, you can extend you stay - her multiple entry visa can even help in that case. The forms and instructions you can get here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

2. No, you do not need to send her passport - just copies of it. If extension is granted, they will send you an extension form.

Hi,

I have a similar question.
I'd like to extend my visit in one more year.
Right now I have a multiple entry visa issued in country and I have been leaving Canada after six months and then returning.

So, now I want to extend my stay here for more 12 months and I'd like to know if after getting this 12 months extension I'll be able to leave Canada and return under this extended visa.

The reason for my question is that I want to have a visa when I re-enter the country. I am visiting Canada, but have things back in my country that I need to do.

Thank you.
