Hi All,

Need your advise. Here's my situation:
- I was issued a PGWP in 2015, valid for 3 years - till October 2018
- However, my passport was expiring in Dec 2017 so the Worker Visa was valid only till Dec 2017
- I recently got my passport renewed
- I have also applied for my PR under CEC and apprised CIC regarding my updated passport

In summary, my work permit was valid for 3 years, but my work visa is expiring in December 2017. So do I still need to apply for a work permit extension? Do I need to go through some other route?

Thanks for your help guys. Any advise/suggestions much appreciated.

Did CIC ask for your passports as well for a new Visa once your work permit extension request was approved?

Cheers

Yes. Apply again if you need extension. It's the same procedure. If you need the work visa details to be stamped on passport you need to send the passport to office based out of Ottawa. As long as you have the valid extension permit, I don't see a need of getting that stamped on passport.
