Extending Your Study Permit - Help

What does this mean?

Does it mean just extending study permit isnt enough to continue studying in canada?

You need to apply for your Temporary Resident Visa that coincides with the duration of your study permit. Just having a study permit alone won't be enough, the study permit allows you to study here while the Temporary Resident Visa is a permit that allows you to stay here temporarily. Incorrect.

1. You need TRV to re-enter Canada if you are traveling abroad.
2. Study permit allows you to study as well as stay as a student.

1 Wrong, the study permit allows you to study, if you are already in Canada you dont' require a TRV to remain in Canada. A trv is only necessary if you intend to depart Canada and re-enter (other than US)
