Extending work permit???

Hi guys

I have applied PNP in Nova Scotia and got PNP invitation. After that, I applied PR and received AOR. I am now waiting for the biometrics.

Due to Covid-19, I was laid off few months ago and I am not working. My visa will be expired next year, but I am concerned that Service Canada might not open by then.

My question is Can I apply for BOWP? even though I am not working under the company that I used to apply for PNP?

You have to be within 4 months of the expiry of your current WP to apply for a BOWP. Your bigger worry is that if you never return to work for that employer your PNP nomination might be cancelled, if it depends on a job offer.
