Hi all,
I have two quick questions for those who have successfully extended visitor visa from visa exempt country.
So my 6 months expire on November 11, 2014 and I am waiting for my LMIA to be approved. Application was received on October 17 in SC but no file number yet, only confirmation from post office that package have been delivered on that date. Can I submit that confirmation as proof that my LMIA application is in SC and that I am extending my stay in Canada as I am waiting for outcome. Note that I am waiting LMIA for highest demand occupation and 30$/hour wage in Alberta (i think chances to be approved are 99%)
And the other question is, I also have a sponsorship to extend my stay from Canada's permanent resident. On the application form IMM5708E in the box proof of funds, I have to write some amount. Do i have to have my own bank account with money on it to prove them that i have enough for another 6 months, or I don't have to prove them anything because I have a sponsor? Also, I am living with my sponsor on the same address.
