Extending visitor Visa - reason (common law)

Hello, I have a question.

Me(foreign national on work permit) and my Gf(foreign national - Tourist visa) are wondering if we can get a common law status. She has a tourist visa and is 2 months away from her 6 month period on TRV. Can she apply for an extension with reason: to stay more time with BF and get a common law status. Do you think this can work out and she will be allowed to extend her stay?
