I am extending my stay in Canada and have 2 questions:

1: D:my request. I want to: i ticked the extend my stay box....... what date do i put in? i just put in ????|??|||, or should i leave it blank?

2: B My family members:
My wife is Canadian born, with Irish citizenship also
My daughters are Irish born, and their Citizenship cert forms are sent away...

under Citizenship, i put Canadian + Irish in the box...... is this ok, or will i leave it at just Canadian, or just Irish in the answer? Or Canadian for wife, Irish+Canadian for the daughters?

I am adding a letter saying I am applying for deemed rehabilitation, through local office

thanks

thanks Baloo, but i don't know the date - i am extending to stay for my PR, after being deemed rehab'd, so do i just enter ??, or 1yr from now, 5yrs??

What order will i put the citizenship? - i have Canadain+Irish, looks better, even though the children havent go their certs yet.

Did the local office give you any guess at a timeframe for rehab'?

I would apply for six months, or a year and extend again if you need to. I think more than a year may be pushing it.

Hmm, a slight rethink - if you don't have a reply on the certificates for the kids yet, I would put their current citizenship and include an attachment or note saying you have applied for them.

the kids is a mere formality, as their mother is Canadian born+bred. I will go for a year so, they can always just give me 6months or what they fancy. I will include that in the letter. I had a question up for a few days about local office, no replies, I wont be in there until 6th April - it will be 11 years to the day since the DUI conviction, with court documents. No idea how long it might take, convictions are from 99 and 00. Its a safer bet than going to a border and being denied deemed rehab'd.
Was told that if i applied for all together (extension, PR, work permit, rehab), the PR would most likely be refused, so hopefully, this way will be quicker, and if things are going tits up, i will be given info/instructions on what to do before anything drastic happens. Besides, if i am deemed rehab'd, i could apply outland. (can i apply to Buffalo, NY, even if i am Irish?), or does it have to be UK?

I believe the UK, I assume you are not living in the USA.

Others will correct me if I am wrong.

just curious, UK is quicker, but NY is cheaper/easier as its only an hour or so from here. I will be married 6yrs in Sept, so it seems unlikely i will have to attend an interview if the other mess is cleared up. I am right not going to a border though, aren't I? In case they don't let me in, i will be really screwed, as it will be a clear case of literally not being allowed drive down to pack or say good-byes

thanks for your input by the way....
