Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding extending your study permit when you're outside of Canada. I am doing my research outside Canada and my permit expires while I am outside Canada. I applied to extend it online to CIC. My questions is thus this: if my application is approved, do I have to enter Canada in order for the new study permit to be activated? In other words, can I be considered a full-time student this fall if my permit is granted but I enter Canada in November or January? Or should I (when permit is granted) fly and enter Canada, receive my paper study permit, and then go back for my research outside Canada?
Thank you for your answer in advance.
