Hi guys. If I have a study permit then my spouse can get an open work permit . After I finish my studies I can apply to PGWP. I read that to renew my spouse's work permit I need to provide proof of employment in NOC 0, A or B. Does this mean I cannot renew my spouse OWP at the same time I apply for the PGWP? Do I first have to get the PGWP, find a job, and only then apply for his renewal, even if it means he has to stop working? Has anyone been through this? It's really annoying if he has to stop working for months while waiting for my PGWP

Correct - your spouse cannot renew the OWP until you can provide proof you have a full time job that is NOC A, B or 0.
If you cannot provide this proof, your spouse will have to change his status to visitor and stop working.

I mean, is there any chance that he will *not* need to stop working? Because if it takes 2 months for PGWP, by then his work permit will probably have expired together with my study permit.
