Extending PGWP

Hi Guys,

I am planning on extending my Work Permit based on the letter in received from SINP after i was nominated.

I am currently on an Open Work Permit (PGWP). I have sent my PR application to Sydney, Nova Scotia in November and i am yet to receive my AOR.

Do i have to wait till i get my file number? Also, someone said my employer has to pay the compliance fee in order to renew my work permit.

How do i go about this?

Interesting..it will expire in April, 2016. Will my employer pay the compliance fee? Is it required?

Just wait hopefully you will get AOR before Feb 2016....and you can apply before 30 days....

I would wait for file number if I were you. You still have time. If you don't get it before 30 days of your PGWP expiry, apply just with Nomination and write Letter of Explanation saying you have sent your documents to CIC for PR and they received it. Your employer doesn't have to pay anything if your nomination has no restrictions on employment and if you got your file number from CIC.

Thank you for your response. I will wait till the end of February or first week of March for the file number. Meanwhile, my nomination seems to be restricted to my employer coz it has 'Yes' to the nomination certificate and work permit support letter.

Hi All,

I have my AOR from my PNP PR application and my employer has paid the employer compliance fee. Am i required to pay another fee?
