Extending an open work permit

Hi,

I am applying for an extension of my open work. Been working in Canada for a year, and will continue working with the same employer. I am not sure about what's the proper answer for question number 3.

1) A work permit with the same employer
2) An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
3) Restoration of your status as a worker
4) Temporary resident permit

I checked 1 and 3, I was wondering if this is correct or if I should check number 2 and 3 instead. I just don't want to get a work permit attached to a specific employer.

for open work permit extension, (provided that your permit states that you are eligible for extension due to passport expiration date or some other reason) option 2 is your best choice.

Open work permit always option 2. Closed or LMIA based work permit would select option 1.
