Extended delay Super Visa for Parents : Applied April 2015

Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some insight if anyone else has gone through the same procedure.

Applied Online for Super Visa :

Primary applicant (Father)'s application details :

Application submitted : April 14
Medical Report request : April 21
Passport Request: June 03
Passport with visa received : June 15

Mothers application details:
Application submitted : April 14
Medical Report request : April 21
One week after the tests, the clinic called and said her xray reported some spots on her lungs, so a 'saliva' test will have to be done again after 3 months from the date initial test was taken.
Medical tests done : July 23- report sent electronically to cic by the clinic directly.

Now almost 3 weeks have passed, her online application status still shows - ' we need your medical information' , that's all - no other info.
Should i be concerned ? Is this normal ? My father has had his visa since June and we are contemplating on how long moms visa will take, if not then dad would come visit us first while we wait for her visa

Is there an option to submit a case specific enquiry ?

Any advise/suggestions would be appreciated, thank you.

Your mother's application is non-standard due to her medical history and the request for a follow up medical. I don't think it's at all surprising you're still waiting for a response. The processing times look perfectly normal based on your mother's situation.

Sorry - i am new to this form, and replied directly to moderator earlier

So - it has been almost 3 weeks since the followup medical report has been submitted on July 23rd.
Any idea on how long it takes on average for such cases ? It would just help us plan better :-\

Hi...sorry OP...I dont have an answer to your question but I was wondering how can you check the status of the application online? I applied via mail for my mothers Super visa a week ago and wanted to check the status of her application. We were told at the VFS office that she will learn about the status of her application within 10 to 15 business days.
