Extend WP

Hi,

I have been working with a employer specific work permit for almost 2 years, LMIA exempt from CPTPP. I am waiting for my ITA for Express entry and my Work permit expires Sept 2023, if I extend my work permit do I have to do it with the same process that I got it the first time, with the employer portal or can I just extend my my WP under the same conditions? if so can I do it myself? I don't want to overpay with a immigration consultant.
