extend work permit for CEC

Hello all,

I'll finish my 1 year work experience in January, 2018. My PGWP expries on June,2018. I know that I cannot apply BOWP unless I submitted my CEC or FSW application. Is there any other ways to extend the work permit? My NOC is 2132 mechanical engineer. And I don't know if the closed LMIA could help?

Your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.

You cannot apply for BOWP unless you are four months or lesser towards your work permit expiry and provided you already applied until express entry and have an AOR.

You can also apply for extension if your employer has an LMIA number or willing to apply for one. But this will be a closed work permit.
