A friend of mine entered Canada as a tourist and he just found a job that provide work permit.
He has been here for 4 months now and since there's a processing time(in my case it took me 3 months to get the work permit) we were wondering what should he do.
Cause his tourist visa is good for 6 months, so if he stays in Canada and waiting for his work permit does he have to extend his tourist visa?
And if so, what should be his reason for that? Should he say 'I'd like to extend my tourist visa cause I'm waiting for my work permit' or should he lie and say that he wants to travel some more?
He's staying at my place now he's a friend from back home, he worked really hard to get this job and he wants to stay here and wait for his work permit.
What should he do?
Thanks.
