My Husband and I have been fortunate to live in Canada on a Supervisa since June 2012. We applied for an extention before June 2014 and were given another 10 months. Which took us to April 2015. So I am now in the process of doing another on line application to extend our stay. There are certain areas that I need some advise on, or if someone can share their experinece if they have been in a similar situation.

1. If our extention is not granted and we need to leave Canada, is there a certain period of time that we are required to be out of the country? What documents will we need to present at the border on our return? I have contacted CIC help line and was advised that, if we leave. I must ask the CBSA official at the airport.

2. The on line application has an "optional documents" section, which is a schedule 1. The questions in it do not apply to either my husband or I. Do we need to complete if we apply for an extention inside Canada?

Only a few days left before I need to submit the application, so I really would appreciate any advise or comments. many Thanks.

I'll help with one question.

1) There is no specific time you need to be outside of Canada - however returning to Canada immediately would not be wise. I would remain outside of Canada for at least three months - preferably longer (6-8 months).
