Hello everyone!
I'm about to send my sponsorship application through the Family Class. I am currently in Canada as a visitor and my status expires on February 10, 2013. I would like to be able to send my papers before this date. As I would like to work in Canada during the processing time I am also sending an Application to Change Conditions, Extend My stay Or Remain in Canada as a Worker (IMM 5710). But my question is this, if I am unable to send my sponsorship papers (including form IMM 5710) 30 days before my status expires, would I still be able to stay in Canada as an Implied Visitor? I know that I can apply for a visitor extension, but if I am already mailing form IMM 5710, do I still need to apply for the visitor extension? I'm sorry if this is a bit confusing, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
