Hi, I'm a dual mexican - american citizen, I came to Canada to live with my boyfriend looking forward to a PR status in due time...I'm currently filling out my form to request extension of my stay as a visitor (entered with US passport), ...I have some concerns on the "details of visit to Canada" section, hopefully you could provide some insight 
:
1- The purpose of my stay: I chose "other" from the drop down menu and I'm not sure if it will impact me negatively if I write down that my purpose is to live with my boyfriend? I'm not pursuing studies or work since I'm not allowed, basically I'm a homemaker and looking at volunteering opportunities while we can establish common law status and apply for sponsorship that way
2- how long do you plan to stay: can I request an extension for a period of time longer than the standard 6 months?
3- funds available during my stay: My boyfriend is providing for me financially, since I can't work I can't generate an income so he covers all my expenses...how do I put a number on that? and how does it tie up with the question of "My expenses in Canada will be paid by:"
