Hi there,
I have a question and I am now a bit confused about what I need to do so I'd like to get some advice here.
I am currently here in Canada on a work permit that expires beginning of July. But I booked my flight back home for end of July as I wanted to stay for only a couple weeks longer for travelling in Canada. What do I have to do now? Do I need to apply for that?
I want to extend my stay here in Canada, I already had a look at the form IMM5710 (Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker) but this does not seem to be the right form. So is IMM5708 (Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder) the right form for me? And if so, what do I have to check under "3"? I am from Germany, so I got my temporary residence permit automatically with the work permit. Also, do I have to apply for that at all or is it sufficient to just cross the border once and come back as a tourist?
I am very grateful for any reply.
