here is some back ground.
my original PGWP expired March 9 of 2023.
under the guidance of my employer I applied to extend my PGWP on January ( Before new public policy) .
In March the new policy was announced and I was waiting for the application ( so implied status )
I receive the interim work authorization
I applied again under the new policy on April 11.
i got The refusal of my first application ( from January) , I was expecting that .
but here things start to become tricky.
This refusal letter clearly says that I’m not able to work , but I maintained my status.
my employer freaked out and put me on unpaid leave to resolve the issue.
but here is the drama , I called several times IRCC and they told meI Can work , but when I called with the union , they say I can’t.
My employer doesn’t accept verbal confirmation.
some people say I can’t work , and some people say I can .
the interim work authorization clearly says I can work if I have a valid status .
I’m about to get fired because of this … and no one seems to be able to answer me .
did anyone got their application processed ? Or similar situation?
