Hello, I am on my PGWP work permit. I am working in Canada being a professional coach for 1 year. My job is exempt from needing an LMIA (LMIA exempt Job). Am I eligible to get 50 additional job offer points in my express entry pool, if my employer can write valid job offer?
Please can anyone let me know.

No. To get the 50 points, you need a LMIA. If employer is willing to post your job, is eligible and file for a LMIA and go through the process, then ask your employer. A PGWP is an open work permit.

OH, correct me if I am wrong. What if the job is LMIA exempt, they still need to get a positive LMIA to get 50 Points? a written valid job offer isnt enough from employer?

You are on a PGWP. How can your job be LMIA exempt? LMIA exemptions are for only certain situations like a company transfer, through a Free Trade Agreement etc. If you are on a PGWP then you are on an open work permit, not LMIA exempt, closed work permit. If you want to count the 50 points, your employer needs to file for a LMIA (not LMIA exempt).

This is asked all the time as people on PGWP think a job offer will give them 50 points.

There are instances where the 50 points can be claimed without an approved LMIA however this required you to be on a closed work permit with your employer named on the work permit. Since you are on an open work permit, only possible to get points with an approved LMIA.
