Express Entry while 2014 CEC file in process

I'm a July 2014 CEC applicant and still waiting for decision.

I wonder if I can have an express entry profile in the pool, and whether I'll get an ITA as I already have a PR file in process.

If I do get ITA, I'll have 60 days to submit an application if I don't get any update on my July 2014 CEC application.

Any suggestions/thoughts will be appreciated.

No you won't get an ITA automatically. Express Entry is basically adding an extra step into what you're doing now. If you've already applied just wait out the current process. Surprised you don't have your PR already but you should be there soon.
