express entry vs federal vs PNP

Hello,
I was hoping to use advise on choosing the right program to apply PR – express entry vs PNP vs federal.

My situation: Currently in Vancouver, BC on work permit (NOC code 2171, went through LMIA). My work permit is valid till May 2016. Came to Canada / BC in Feb 2015. Working for an IT consulting firm.
Can someone please suggest whats the best program to apply under. Any suggestions on good immigration lawyers in Vancouver areas will help as well.

If you want to apply under the federal program you have to apply through Express Entry.

So, being in canada with a work permit and on a job, you can still apply for express entry, - is that right?
Any thoughts on applying via express entry vs PNP - which is better.?

Express entry is faster if you get job with approved LMO.
