Hi,

I have got invitation today 22nd December cutoff is 475. My current marital status is single. My current score is 495.

My marriage is in month of April. After adding my spouse details my score can be recalculated to 476 points. (more than 475 which is cutoff points)

Now, I have 90 days to accept invitation. means around 20th of March. My marriage is in April.

Will I be allowed to add my future spouse in express entry profile after my marriage in April so both's PR come together??

I don't want to get my PR alone and then wait for her PR by filing dependant which takes one long year.

Any idea that I can change my marital status after my profile is in progress???

Any input is valuable!

Thank you,
Ravi

At the time of submitting e-APR you will be asked again about change in status at that time you can list your status as married and include your wife. You will need her medical and pcc done, and will require to provide marriage certificate and similar docs.

If it's possible inform CIC asap once you get marriage certificate you can do that through CSE as well.

But I have to submit E-APR in month of March, and my marriage is in April.

My case would be changing my marital status after submitting E-APR, can I do that?

Yes you can and you don't even have to worry about your score as it won't be recalculated.

You will need her PCC and medicals.

Look under "changes of family composition"

Thank you guys for your replies.

One more thing I want to know. As per the link, I can include spouse with me after e-APR. Does it means, she get PR too with me if I have her documents ready like her Medical and PCC?

Do I need to verify/validate her university degree as per Canadian standard from WES too, or just PCC and Medical is fine?

Many Thanks!
Ravi
