I had a post grad work permit and applied for a PR under express entry. My company provided the letter to say it is under NOC B but after review by CIC it was said to be not eligible. I submitted a request to reconsider my application as the job is eligible, however in the second refusal letter there was no reference to the job I asked them to review instead the reviewed the other job that was on m profile. I am so confused, why wouldn't they comment on the job I asked them to review since this is one that they had a problem with initially. I went to a consultant who suggested applying again but I am not sure as the help i got was not great. He basically said research "a" and if it makes sense to you then do it :(

Plan B- I applied for PNP and got a nomination but my job wont give me recommendation letter or complete job offer form and all my documents expire in one month. I will be applying for a visitor visa but I want know if I can apply for a open work permit?

This sucks I have been here for 7 years - 4 years university and 3 years work.

You cannot apply for an Open Work Permit right now. You can only apply for a BoWP after you have submitted an application for EE and received the AoR letter.

Do you even have a valid ITA right now? You have been refused so you can't keep applying till you're invited again. IRCC clearly feels that your job isn't a NOC B job so that means that you aren't eligible for EE.

What job do you have? What NOC did you apply under?

I don't have a valid ITA. But right now I have a valid PNP nomination.

My role was under the combined position computer exam registrar and receptionist and for the past 8 months I have been an exam administrator at the university. Some senior staff that helps workers with immigration questions identified the positions at NOC B. I applied under NOC B.

IRCC determines the NOC (and therefore job leve) based on the job duties and responsibilities described in the letter of reference. If the letter did not provide that information, then IRCC cannot evaluate the job or give you credit for it.

If the letter DID describe job duties and responsibilities, feel free to post them here along with the NOC you claimed. We can give you an opinion that will help you decide your next steps.

Don´t know, because we don´t know what you submitted in your request for reconsideration.

You can apply, but it will be a waste of money if you aren´t eligible for one, and you´ve not stated anything that suggests you are eligible.

Would my Post grad work permit not count?
Sorry, you said ¨"had", past-tense, it sounded like it had already expired. You did say your documents expire in a month, so my bad. So yes, if you apply and get an AOR before your PGWP expires, you could apply for the BOWP.
