Hi guys,

Can anybody please help me with my query. My Express entry profile is going to expire on 20th Feb 2016. My query is I have got the nomination and since I had a baby recently its put on hold till I provide my baby's passport and get her added in the nomination certificate. The nomination officer of that province told me to do this. Now my question is after my profile expires and I create a new one, would my nomination points still be there or will it be gone? And will the province send me nomation certificate again to my new Express Entry profile if requested?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciate! Thanks! :)

Regards,
Shweta.

1. I don't imagine that any provincial nomination offers points to the on PA having/not having a child. Having/not having a child is irrelevant to PN. So there is really no need to get the nomination certificate revised. You can accept the nomination, get 600 additional points and add your baby in the EE profile before getting an ITA. Passport for the baby will be required as part of your EE document checklist.

2. If for some reason you don't want to go with 1 (though it is perfectly legitimate and straightforward), let your EE profile expire on 20th Feb. Then create a fresh EE profile and send a mail to your nominating province explaining that your profile has expired and that you have created a fresh profile. Request them to transfer the nomination certificate (hopefully with your baby already added to it) to the new EE profile.

Recommend that you proceed with 1.

I would go with option number 1 too- there is probably going to be another round of ITAs tomorrow, and if you could get your profile in order before then, then you could easily get an ITA and have your profile frozen, circumventing the expiry issue.
Just my advice, though :)
