I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. But here is what's happening:
I applied for FSW (Express Entry) to Canada in March 2018. I got a letter yesterday from them saying their system shows I had PR in 1994 (when I was 2). It suggested I try applying for PRTD on humanitarian grounds. It's true my parents left and I did as a minor. However, I was not aware that my PR was still valid.
Now time is of the essence to me, so I was wondering if it would be faster for me to apply to renounce my PR and attach that as an additional document to my Express Entry application? Mine is in IP1 or IP2 stage right now.
Is that allowed? Can I do it immediately or is there some ban on renouncers for some time?
Since I am 26 now, and haven't been in Canada for 24 years, I don't know how successful applying for PRTD will be. I am currently living in the USA but am not a citizen or anything.
