hey guys !

i’ve submitted my application under express entry and waiting now for an invitation to apply for PR , my concern is my past work experience, i have 4 years work experience, 3 years from my country and 1 year in Canada,

so i want to know if the 3 years work experience certificate from the company i’ve worked with is enough as a proof or i need to show something else ?

besides this company has closed businesses in 2018 and they can’t contact it now.

thanks guys for your help.

"The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:
  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
  • if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years])."

Thanks for your reply
In my letter experience reference it has everything like the company letterhead, my name, the company’s contact information and the dates worked for the company also they mentioned my position as a cook that’s it, but for the number of work hours per week Or annual salary and benefits most companies in my country they don’t mention that.

So i don’t know if the informations i have in my letter experience reference is enough as a proof or not, I’m working now in Canada and i can’t go back to my country and ask for a new one especially since the company has closed 2 years ago.

If you are missing the number of hours worked or the salary, it will not be accepted as proof and your application will likely be rejected if you are relying on this work experience for points.

You can try adding supplemental documents such as employment contracts, payslips or anything else you have that would verify how many hours you worked and how much you made. A statutory declaration of your former boss could also work, even if the company is now defunct.
Thanks for the clarification,
I’m missing the number of hours worked but i have another supplemental document it shows how much money i made for the last 19 months but i’m worried because it’s less than the 3 years I’ve worked with the company,

so do you think i can lose some points for the period missing or they will consider this proof of salary enough for the rest ?
Thank you very much .

Yes, because they need to know if you worked full-time or part-time.

The text I quoted above is directly from the IRCC website. You need to prove to them everything they require. It's not optional.
thank you very much for your help, i appreciate all your clarification,

It seems complicated now because most of jobs are full time in my country and we get paid monthly so they don’t mention that in the reference experience letter.
