Express Entry Official Eligibility Tool

Hey Everyone.

I recently came across an official tool at www.canada.ca to check one's eligibility to create a profile in express entry system.

The tool neither asks for educational qualification nor does it tell the points at the end. (One must not confuse it with CRS calculator)

I do qualify for FSW, however upon using the aforementioned tool, it simply tells at the end that I am not eligible to apply through express entry. It fails to explain the reason behind the outcome.

Has anybody come across this tool lately. Any idea how authentic it is and what impact it could have on one's application.

The come to Canada tool in the link which is official is simply a rough guide and not used in the application process, that would be the score from the CRS tool. As above the result is only as good as the answers provided much same as the CRS tool if you tweak answers for IELTS or accompanying/non accompanying for example

Well, it is authentic because it is IRCC's official tool. It is actually the first step to start your Express Entry profile creation.

Suggest you review the FSW eligibility requirements again - there will be something you missed, otherwise the tool wouldn't say you are ineligible.

Most common pitfalls:

• Foreign education, but no ECA
• No language test results, or results not good enough
• Insufficient money to bring to Canada
• Insufficient work experience

Thanks for your response. I figured out the mistake. I wasn't selecting enough money to bring to Canada. Now my question is, if the minimum funds requirement for a family of 2 is $16135, is it mandatory to bring all or more than the mentioned sum the moment you land Canada? or you can bring any amount with you?

Hi everyone. I have a very confusing situation rt now...
BBA - 2012-2015
1st Work experience - Aug 2015-Feb 2016 NOC B
2nd Work experience - June 2016 - June 2018 NOC B
MSc. 2019-currently (I will receive master's in Feb 2021)

So, I have a gap of 1 year from July 2018 September 2019.

Would I have to work after masters for 1 more year in order to be eligible for EE. I mean I already have 2 years of full time continous work experience in NOC B. So if I apply for EE after Feb 2021, when i get masters, will the previous experience post bachelor's and pre-masters will not count?

Any help is appreciated.
