Hi There,

After receiving an invitation to apply I gathered all my documentation and submitted my EE application on Dec 23rd. I submitted everything required e.g. medical, ECA Report, (home country)Police cert etc. One thing my solicitor asked me to do was to get a Canadian police cert which is technically not required but she told me it helps to speed up the processing time?

I was curious to know the communities opinion and if it actually saves time or not.

Many thanks,

Shak

Its better to send with application, he is right it will save your time. Because at later stage CIC have to ask anyways. It will cost$50 min to get that done.

Well I have already submitted the Canadian police cert with my application so from what you are saying it will help. Can't say how by much though.

It will help in a sense that if you not submitted with your app, then they will ask for you in the middle of processing but if they do have in package, so they will not ask you. If your process finalize in 1 year but after one year they can again ask for you.

1. I doubt the IRCC asks for fingerprint checks from Canada in more than 2% or 3% of applicants, probably less. They do their own criminal records check and will only request a fingerprint check if a person with a similar name and age has a record.
