Hey Guys/Girls

So in the coming days i will activate my new lmia with a job offer which will now give me 1045 points. I just have a few questions.

1) Time i served as an apprentice, I worked with many different companies due to the recession in europe. How do i provide a letter from them if they are no longer in operation, Would a letter from the state training agency for apprentices be enough proof to state dates worked in each company?

2) Am i right in reading that if i am working on my lmia in canada and i was lucky to get chosen for FSW or FSTW i would not have to show 12k?

3) For CEC i think i am ineligible i worked for my trade for 7 months with my red seal, But i worked as a fibre optic tech when i first came to canada i looked up but cant find the NOC number for it so i don't think it falls as a skilled work?. So i would have to work another 5 months.
All my other work has been shutdowns etc they don't go longer the 2 months at a time.

4) Can i do my medical now? how long is it valid for?

5) Do i need to get a police cert from canada? I have been living here almost 2 years.

Have you created your profile? Are you eligible for FSWP or CEC or both? As you have 445 points (1045-600), that suggests that you're probably eligible for both the programs.

Program eligibility will determine how much effort you need to put in towards getting these documents. If you're eligible for CEC, you wouldn't need to spend time getting all of these because you don't need the work experience points towards FSWP eligibility or your CRS score (because you have the 600 points from your LMIA).

Yes.

Valid for 1 year. Recommend that you do it as close as possible to post ITA application submission because many members have reported that medicals have a tendency to fall through the cracks at CIC.

5) Do i need to get a police cert from canada? I have been living here almost 2 years.

Not now. CIC will tell you when you need to get one post ITA.

Proof of funds
You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada, unless you:

are currently able to legally work in Canada, and
have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada

I will be both of them why i apply so just wondering why i still have to show it?.


Also i cant find out if a fiber optic tech is counted foe cec, I was working there when i first came to canada while i sorted out my red seal.

I answered Yes to that question to indicate that I agreed with you that you don't have to show POF.

You can mix and match codes under CRS. Not under program eligibility for FSWP or CEC.
