I have been working on an open work permit for the last two years. I plan to apply for CEC express entry.

I recently changed jobs and have been working here since July 2018. Is this job offer valid under CEC? There is so much information on CIC website but could not find the answer to my situation.

It is full time and non seasonal. Also, it is under skill type 0, A or B. But, the the CIC website says

A valid job offer :
  • made by one employer - Yes
  • continuous - Yes
  • paid - Yes
  • full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
    - Yes
  • in a job that is NOC:
    • Skill Type 0 or
    • Skill Levels A or B - Yes
It also must be made :
  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit - Yes
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer - No
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa - Not sure
Will appreciate any help.

Hi Smriti,
I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that for your present role you do no have any LMIA?
If that is the case OWP cannot qualify for the 50 points for the job offer.

Only job offer made with LMIA exempt(e.g. Intra Company Transfers as an example) WP and employer specific (closed-work permits) can be eligible.
You can refer to the posts of @DelPiero07 in the thread below.

Since you have been working for the last 2 years and if these jobs fall under NOC 0, A and B and are full time, you should be getting some points for that...
