I graduated in May from a Canadian institution and have since obtained my Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). During my 16-month study period, the temporary policy allowing international students to work full-time was in effect, and I worked full-time as a Software Engineer for my current employer. I am still employed with the same company.

In total, I have 15 months of Canadian work experience if my experience during my studies is counted. Otherwise, I have 3 months of post-graduation work experience.

I am now interested in applying for Express Entry and am considering the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) stream because it counts Canadian work experience accumulated while studying, unlike the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). However, I am unsure if inland applicants on a PGWP can apply to the FSW stream.

I couldn't find a clear answer on the IRCC website regarding whether inland applicants are eligible for the FSW stream. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Your experience as a student doesn’t count as Canadian work experience. If you have a year of foreign experience (full time, continious, one NOC), then you may be eligible.
