No, you should not change it. Your job title is irrelevant, what is important is that your duties/responsibilities matches the NOC chosen.

Hi,

Please Clear my doubt regarding work experience. My company has given me the employment details on the letterhead in the following format

This serves to confirm that xxxxxxx (New Employee Number xxxxx ) was a permanent employee of ABCDE from 17/06/2013 to16/08/2018.

During his time with ABCDE, xxxxxx has served in various ranks as per
below and last held rank was in the capacity of X RANK

If you require any further assistance or information please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned

This tenure mentioned above also has my training time which was 8 months ( 4 months work, 2 months UNPAID leave and again 4 months work period FROM 17/06/2013 TO 15/04/2014 ) added to it, will it be ok if I upload this document along the mail conversation with the manager refusing and saying that this is the standard letter given to all employees and two reference letters from my supervisors mentioning duties and responsibilities on it with their govt licence to work onboard ship as an engineer.

FOR SHOWING PROOF OF MY TRAINING I HAVE CONTRACT LETTER ONLY

Will it be fine?

Please help.

NOC Code......
2174
Team,
My job title with my previous company was Java/AWS Developer. It states the same in my experience letter. Now my question is if its okay to have Java/AWS Developer as my title for NOC code 2174 or Do I need to change the title to one of the titles mentioned in page http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=2&val1=2174&ver=16. Thanks

Hi Kumar,

I also have similar profile of Java/AWS developer where I do technical work mostly as a lead consultant and have confusion regarding which NOC code to be used between 2173 and 2174. It looks like you are using 2174. Could you please help in clarifying my below doubt, as you might have also went through this.

(1) My work activities matches to of "Computer programmers" duties written in CIC website, but the duties mentioned for "Interactive media developers" does not matches me. So, in this case could we use the 2174 code as it matches only to "Computer programmers" duties.
(2) The duties mentioned for NOC code 2173 also matches to my work profile at high level or in generic language. It is just that 2174 "Computer programmers" duties are more matching to me at detailed low level. But, 2173 could be something more like an technical architect job duties also. Any suggestions.
(3) Have you verified or consulted about your NOC code with some professional canada agent or friends.
