It is free of charge to create a profile in the Express entry pool.
i believe your wife's language proficiency is good enough but it also takes other measurements on the factors such as your education, work history...
to determine whether you are eligible or not to apply.
They do not ask for documents when you are creating profiles and you scores will be calculated right after the information provided.

Try entering your details in the calculator and see whats the score you are getting . And you may check the trending scores for draw and it will give you an idea .. Roughly the scores as of now being picked up are around 455-460 .. Unless you get some provincial nomination then your CRS may get boosted and chances to get selected for ITA will increase.....
