Does anyone know how the draw works?
I'm just making up numbers here:
Let's say 5,000 applicants have their Express Entry profiles ready by the first draw.
Is CIC always going to fill the draw quota with the highest CRS applicants i.e. LMIA and PNP or have separate quotas for each stream?
For example:
CEC 200
FSW 500
and so on.
If each stream has a specific quota then CEC applicants without an LMIA are only competing against other CEC applicants.
Again, my question is: will there be specific quotas for each stream or is it a free-for-all? My understanding of the new system is that CIC is now funnelling everyone through Express Entry and only those with a high score, regardless of which category they applied under, will receive an invitation to apply.
Read that Canada will make huge changes to the International Experience or Working Holiday program by 2016. Many countries will see their quotas cut by 50-90% as the number of international workers coming to Canada far outnumbers the number of Canadian going abroad.
