Here is my current situation:
I have been living in Canada since 2012 with an open work permit linked to my common-law partner who got a position in an high skilled job. Last month she applied for the PR with me as dependant. Unfortunately, she just left me and she is waiting for a baby with someone else, she couldn't have the medical examination done for that reason but they allowed her to apply even without it. She also applied for an extension of the work permit for the next three years. I do need to know what will happen to our application now. We still live in the same address but she wants to change our family status. She wants to withdrawn my name from the application because she is scared they can investigate with her colleagues about our relationship. Our permit will expire shortly but we got a confirmation number that we applied for the Pr and the Work Permit.
Because of my working conditions ( I am a contractor, no t4 no payroll) I am sure I don't mach the requirements to apply by myself. Let me know what you think about it.
