Hello,
For Express Entry category, for proof of funds, I approached my banks with fund details on their letterhead as required by IRCC. However, banks are just giving me the "Balance Certificate" and "6 months statement" signed and stamped on normal paper without letterhead.
Will that work?
I have requested them and explained the purpose as Canada PR though.

Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Depending on what the bank is. HDFC didn't gave me average 6 months balance, but gave me:
1. closing balance
2. codified debt

I attached 6 months of statements to it and that worked for me. The balance statements are never on letterhead, but that's fine. IRCC is proactive about calling and verification of POF from the bank itself (my banker informed me they receive POF verification quite commonly).

As long as you have every other info on the letterhead(apart from the missing avg 6 month balance), you should be fine.

Thanks for the response. What is codified debt, that you presented?

It is usually on your POF letter issued by your bank. They can either write no debt or something equivalent. In my case it was an acronym that was set to zero indicating zero debt. I didn't knew about it and asked my banker on why there's no debt mentioned in my POF, they indicated me that it is codified.
