Dear all,

At the moment i am registered in Express Entry program and Job Bank also, i have 333 point and awaiting for a provincial nominee. I am registered in Express Entry since begining of this September.
Is it possible for me to apply for political asylum in USA, and if i get Provicial nominee then cancel political asylum case in USA and switch to Canada?

I want to do so because i need to move out of my home country as soon as possible, but at the same time would not want to waist a chance i might get from Express Entry.

I would like to add that I do have B1/B2 visas for all of my family for one year starting today.

You should ask this question on a US immigration forum. While you can certainly apply for and obtain PR while you are seeking asylum in the US, I don't know what the consequences would be of withdrawing an asylum claim.

i think it is Canadian issue if they are going to accept me knowing that i have also applied for political asylum in USA while waiting for their provicial program .

Canada won't care that you've applied for asylum in the US provided you are 100% honest about your immigration history in your PR application.

The only problem you may face is in withdrawing your US asylum claim. Depending on the timing, it's possible you may end up with some sort of misrepresentation ban that prevents you from re-entering the US in the future.

scylla, you answered my question.
all i wanted to know if Canada cares about it.

thank you.

can I also ask how long does it usually take to get invitation From PN if you get one. Is there a statistics on that or a topic on this site. i searched on this site but did not find any.

There's really no single answer to your question since it varies from province to province and from program to program. I would recommend you join the PNP section of the forum if you want to discuss this issue further.
