Express Entry - Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - Current Year T4 and NOA

I have a question regarding the PR requirements once an ITA has been issued.
I understand that one must provide a copy of the T4 forms and NOA that apply to the employers listed in the application. Or pay stubs, contracts, reference letters, etc.

In my case I changed companies at the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 again (I work in the energy sector). Therefore I only have a 2014 NOA and 2014 T4 form for one of the three employers currently listed in my profile.

In order to prove my work experience for Jan-Feb 2015, I can provide pay stubs and my contract, along with a reference letter.

For my Feb-Current 2015 employer I can only provide the reference letter, since the year hasn't ended yet and we don't get pay stubs, just the T4 at the end of the year.

Any suggestions on what other documents to provide in order to prove the legitimacy of my third and current employer? Is there a way to get a partial year assessment from either my employer or CRA that reflects my earnings for this portion of 2015?

I think all employers are required by law to provide paystubs/pay information. They must maintain record of hours worked, wages paid, and deductions. Ask your employer if they can at least provide summary of wage/salary payment.

You can attach your bank statements to show direct deposit by the employer or cheques deposited.

I would also recommend to attach job offer letter. Hope this helps.

Just be sure that you were considered as employed and not self-employed... I realized when CIC asked for my T4 that my employer considered me as self-employed (contrary to what my contracts, etc, said)... Self-employment doesn't count for CEC.

If he refuses to give you your T4, you can fill a complaint to Canada Revenue Agency to be officially recognized as employed: they will investigate, interview you and your boss, etc. That's how I managed to get mine. They HAVE to give you your T4 in February of the following year (for 2014; around February 2015). Otherwise CRA can make you one. I've been through alllllll the process myself, wasn't fun, started 3 months ago and I am now waiting for my NoA.

Every time an employment situation comes to an end, the employer is required to issue a Record of Employment to Service Canada. This is for the purpose of calculating a worker's eligibililty for unemployment benefits. The employer is required to give you a copy within 5 days of the last day of employment, unless they file it electronically with Service Canada - in which case, you can download it from the Service Canada website -

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/employers/view_roe.shtml

per marmaht's comments, this is true if you were actually an employee (rather than self-employed).

So for the 2nd job, you should be able to get the ROE to supplement the documents you have (which should be sufficient).

As for your current job - Letter of Emplyment, job offer letter / contract, recent paystub - that should suffice. CIC is well aware that you won't have a T4 for that job yet. Depending on how long it takes to process the application, they may request it in the future.
