Express Entry - Can I have first job in Qubec-Montreal

Hi All,

I know this question might have been asked earlier but I am unable to find exact answer to my issue hence posting it.

Currently I am working from India in a Software Company and providing services as a Vendor to my Client which is an Investment Bank who has their office in Montreal, Qubec province.

I hope to get my PR in next couple of months.

My question is around getting a first job in Montreal, Qubec via current Software Company in India for my current client an Investment Bank.

Am I eligible to land and work for my 1st job on PR in Montreal, Qubec ?
Do I need a valid job offer before landing in Qubec on PR ?
will I be eligible to get Medical and other services from Qubec province on NON-Qubec PR ?
What are the risks in doing this ?

You can not use a job offer from Quebec for express entry. You should not indicate that you intend to land or Live in Quebec in your application because it would be rejected. Any plans for Quebec using the express entry program should be kept to yourself.

Yes you can go ahead to live in Quebec and access their services as a resident of Quebec after successfully landing anywhere but Quebec under express entry. Because then, anywhere in Canada would be a free for all.

thanks for your reply. I just checked with my consultant and as per him, I can work in Montreal, Quebec but while landing first time i need to land outside Quebec province. I also do get all the facilities provided by Express Entry in Quebec.

Can we book flight to Montreal via toronto . Do port of entry process there and take connecting flight to Montreal ?

Would it be an issue ?

As long as the address in your COPR is outside of Quebec, you can land in Quebec
