Hi all,
i have just joined, so very much hope that I am ok to start asking questions immediately.
My wife has, rather at short notice, been offered a full-time, permanent teaching job in BC, but they want her to start in September. We are currently in the UK.
We have started the process of gathering information, and have therefore taken English tests, applied for police certificates, and we have medicals booked for a few days time.
The worrying one is the ECA. She has applied through WES and ICES (BCIT), but it would appear that it is not a quick process from either.
Therefore we wondered how much quicker it is to apply through Express Entry than it is for Skills Immigration, as for Skills Immigration you don't seem to need the ECA to start the process (although please correct me if this is wrong)?
Is it unrealistic to think that there may be a chance of completing this process in the time given? If so, is there any way we can go to Canada as a family for her to start work while the immigration application is progressing?
Thanks very much. I really appreciate any advice you have.
