Express Entry Application with PNP (PR not received) over 9 Months

Hello Harsh Padhya here from India,

I received State Nomination (Ontario) - PNP in May 2017, applied for Express Entry under Skilled Worker (Permanent Residence) in August 2017 for Family (Me, My Spouse and Child). I have got the Medical Clearance within a month. I am awaiting a reply since last 9 months. The Status Shows :- Background Check Under Process and Final Decision is Still Pending. I don't understand that after receiving State Nomination, why is the verification process taking too long. By the way I also received a Verification Call for my Professional Experience in November 2017 and no further documents are required to be submitted. I have put up quires to the concerned department but haven't received any reply till date.

Please guide / let me know whether this is a positive / negative sign.

Hi, any movement on your application is a good sign, but nobody on this forum can tell you how long it might take, as every application is unique and different, so you just need to be patient and wait. Emailing and calling doesn't seem to be providing much useful information (according to many, many people), so lots of applicants order GCMS notes to understand at which stage their application is. Search the forum for GCMS notes and you'll find the links where you can order them from.
Also, if you read the discussions, you'll see that some people have been waiting for over a year, so 9 months is not an extreme case, but I understand that not receiving any update can be disconcerting.
