Express entry application along with Student Visa

Hi All,

My aim is to get a good Canadian university admit in 2018 itself. If I apply for the express entry scheme, it may take more time than the university admit will. So if I apply to a university as an international student and later get the PR(I might or might not be on a student visa in Canada), then would it be possible to switch my status as a PR holder in the university? Will I get the concession in fees?

First of all is it even possible to achieve the feat which I am eyeing? (of applying for student visa and PR visa side by side)

Yes, you can have both applications at the same time and you can change your status should you become a PR. Good Luck!

Thanks for the prompt reply @noscaf2014. Pardon me, just to be clear, you mean if I get a PR even one semester into the University, through the Express Entry Scheme, I can still get through all the procedures of PR being in the university?
