Hello,

I have created my EE profile on 24th Oct, got Ontario Letter of Interest on 29th Oct 2015. My CRS = 456, NOC 2132. Should I submit my Ontario nomination application or wait for the next draw?

Also, is it ok to get my police verification done before I submit any applications (no ITA)? I am just worried about the processing times creating issues with the 60 day deadline for submission.

Thanks.

For your info, OINP is processing applications very slowly right now, and they will not work in December-January. If you apply now, there's a good chance you will still get your nomination next year.
It's not certain that your score will get ITA in the very next draw, but you have at least a fair shot in future draws.
CIC requires the PCC to be valid for 6 months from the date of the application.

This is not accurate.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/intro.asp

"In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18. (For example, if you lived in a country for eight months but left on a two-week vacation, that counts as living there for eight months.)

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For [other] countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country."

No PCC is required for Canada.

So - achan88 - can't answer your question without more information, such as what country you currently live in, and which country(ies) you need a PCC for. But in general, if you are applying for a PCC for a country that you no longer live in, you can apply now, and it will be valid indefinitely.

@Bellaluna : Thanks for your insight. I will probably apply for OINP, just to see if it improves my chances.

@jes_ON : I am an Indian citizen living in the USA for the past 4 years (2 years Masters, 2 years job). I didnt get my H1B so have to go back to India. I am moving back in January. So should I apply for the US PCC before I leave with my Indian address or should I do it from India? Thanks.

Can anyone help me please? Will it be ok to submit my US PCC application using my Indian mailing address before I leave in January?

Good morning everyone, I need some help. I applied for my PR back in August after I got the invitation. I was asked to provide my police certificate or background check last month, witch I did. Once I uploaded the document asked, it proms me to the payment option of the PR again, when I already paid it before. Did anyone else had the same experience? By the way, the document was uploaded successfully. Also, how long does it take to get an answer after providing any additional document ask?

Thanks,

get your PCC before you leave the US and you can use it after in India, I took mine from one of the EU countries and I still have it and I can use it because I didn't go back since i came to canada and i have One more case from one of my friend who lived in the US and now in canada Immi asked for PCC from the US which is in under from last few months( maybe 5 months) , So good idea to get one before you leave..as it will be faster because you will submit it in person and any further inquiries can be carried out either by you or the department easily and faster ....Just giving you heads up...rest is upto you....
good friend ....hope for the best and keep helping...!! :) :) ;)

Hi Verma,
As your invitation is based on your previous NOC ( which you provided first) so obviously you ll need to provide documents based on your on your created profile...So options you can try are:
1 wait for new invitation since you have updated your NOC.
2 contact the inviting authorities/department and explain your case or mistake..and follow..up
Regards !!
good luck ..hope for the best..!!! :) ;)

Technically, if you apply for the PCC while you are still a resident, it will only be valid for 6 months. If you apply for the PCC after you return to India, it will be valid indefinitely. But I honestly don't know how strict CIC would be if you obtain the PCC before you leave. It all depends on when you plan to apply to express entry and how soon you need it...

Keep in mind the FBI cert takes about 3 months to process right now, so if you apply now, you should use a mailing address (can be different from your residential address) where someone can receive it for you, if you leave before the FBI sends the certificate.

BTW, they will mail to India, no problem.

Thanks. I just sent out the PCC application with the mailing address as my Indian address. I am also planning on submitting my OIPNP application soon. With a CRS score of 456 and predictions for next draws being higher, I think a PNP nomination would be my best bet.

P.S.: Where are the options to input info in the signature and profile on the left side? I would like to add my timeline info in there.

Some questions about proof of funds using US bank account. Do the statements have to show the transactions or just the balance is enough? Also, the guy at Chase printed out my statement and it didn't have the institution/transaction number. I assume that is the routing number. Do the statements have to show the number?

Thanks. :D

Does the bank letter show 6 months average balance? The purpose for this is to look out for large transaction which could be loans. This is the reason why 6 months statement becomes essential.
