Express entry and passport expiry

Hi guys,
I will like to know, my passport will expire in 1 year and I am in the process of creating a profile to put my application for express entry under Canadian Experience Class. Should I renew my passport which will take 3 month and then apply? Or should I go ahead and apply?

You can apply and update IRCC with the new passport information later on.
