Hiya,

I have a small doubt. I have 66 points under FSW 2014 system and hold 377 CRS points with IELTS 7 band overall. When I visit 'Come to Canada' tool, it shows 'you appears to be ineligible to EE, however you can create EE profile' and in the mean while you can try to improve your IELTS score and you can apply to individual PNPs'.

What does it means? Am I eligible to create EE profile and if I create it, will I be accepted into the pool?

You will need to qualify in FSW with 67 points before you are allowed into the EE pool

Dear seniors,
pls clarify this for me if possible. A reputed immigration consultant in my country who i met for a consultation informed me that,in the 67 points table, in order to claim points for a certain level of education, it needs to correspond with a set number of years of education. For instance if you claim points for Masters , you need to have 17 years of education.
This poses a big problem for me as i dont have undergraduate degree, i gained entry in to my Maters program through years of management experience and references from Industry leaders. As such I don't have the necessary number of years but I do have the MBA qualification which UGC recognized.
Any clarification on this is much appreciated.

The rule this consultant refers to is no longer applicable. However, you will need an Educational Credential Assessment for your degree if it wasn't obtained in Canada, and the result of that may well be that its Canadian equivalency is less than a Master's Degree.
Many Thanks for your prompt response !
yes, planning to send to WES for evaluation, fingers crossed.
Also, would you know what criteria would apply when assessing for equivalency. As in , is there a number of credits or certain modules it needs to cover or the duration of the program?

The exact criteria are not public, but it is reasonable to assume that credits, duration, reputation of the university and general assessment of a country's education system all play a role.

You can use this tool to get an idea what the result might be (it's not always accurate):

Thank you dan_and !
