Hello Everyone,
I am reaching out for advice and guidance. My husband and I are currently living in Ontario, we are navigating the complexities of immigration.
My husband has a closed work permit and works as a manager in an IT company. However, his CRS score is 410, which is quite low, We are concerned that this might impact our chances of obtaining permanent residency.
I, on the other hand, have an Open Work Permit. I am interested in taking short term courses, such as Personal Support Worker (PSW), to enhance my job prospects. My questions is:
1) Am I eligible to take short-term courses like PSW or any other with an Open Work Permit?
2) If I complete the course and secure a job in that field, can I apply for PR as a primary applicant?
3) If my husband is applying for PR without me then he is gaining some additional score. If by any chance he gets the PR then what process we have to follow to get the sponsorship (Spouse and Child). Is it complex process or we just need to fill some forms and some additional time to get PR for Spouse and Child.
Thank you
