explanation for TRV delay

Hello guys,

I am bit worried about my TRV application. I applied almost 50 days ago.

I have left around 10 days to fly .

I contacted directly the embassy have got the following email :

IRP act requires ....applicant for visa can be screened in different ways including, health, security and criminality. ....
What does it mean ?

Often delays are out control .as some processing steps require coordination with external authorities.

......our office will contact you as soon as all verification is completed or more information or documents are required.
????
Can anyone explain this indetail ?

BTW there is no such thing as "delays". Process time can vary. Posted times are only guidelines but in no way imply a commitment.
