Hi everyone,
I need your suggestion regarding my work permit extension. My situation is like;
Apllied for BC PNP: on 05 Dec. 2014,
AOR receeived on: 20th Dec, 2014
(File converted into Express entry as of 1 year experience as Shift supervisor on June 24th, 2015)
PN nomination received on: 18th Jan,2016

Work Permit expired on: Sept 11, 2015 (after that i was on implied status)
My immigration lawyer suggested me to apply for work permit (paper application, as its gonna take 3 month for processing) and said that meanwhile we'll receive PNP and send that to CIC and i'll get valid WP again.
But, unfortunately, CIC refused my application of WP extension on 22nd Dec, 2015 (Bcoz i didn't have PN nomination in my hand that time). Then i stopped going for work after 22nd Dec.

Now i have PNP, but still don't have valid WP. Do you think so its safe for me to go on border to get work permit, as i don't have valid status?

Other side, Lawyer said, before going to border, we will apply work permit extension online, just to be on safe side !!
But i am working in a big franchise of about 20 restaurants in BC, i don't know how long they will gonna take to create employer's account on CIC site and when they'll gonna pay 230 $ (as per LMIA) ?
I am so confused what to do ?
If any of you have experience like this or have better solution, plz help me ASAP?
Thanks

The $230 is not for the LMIA, its for the Employer Compliance Permit which must be filed electronically via CIC's employer Portal. The employer needs to set this up. the they file your employment contract with CIC and pay $230. Tell them to direct the $230 they would have paid you for your salary to meet this payment.

You will still be taxed on this income.

One of the other recent bcpnp guys went to the border on implied status today, try messaging 'whacked'.

He needed to show

Work permit Support Letter from bcpnp
PNP Certificate - Titled "Confirmation of nomination"
Compliance Fee receipt - With A00.. number on it. Or at least have it to hand. I didn't have this so had to call my employeer for it.
Job Offer Letter
Proof of Implied (If you were on it)
Proof of common law, take originals. We used the declaration of common-law letter and tenancy agreement.

The employer portal takes about 30 mins to complete, no big deal. Your employer will need to do it for you to get the work permit.

Fateh,

Hope you got your Work Permit. I have a friend in the same situation. Could you please advise me how to go about this. Did you get the visitors visa? and then did you go to the border? or did you have to apply for TRV and work permit restoration together.

Anyone else with advice ?
Facts:
